A Legacy from Nature: The Tallest Ash Tree in Britain

The Milland Coffee Table is not only a celebration of exquisite design but also a natural marvel. The tables have been handcrafted using the timber of Britain’s tallest ash tree 1965-1974, originally from Duncombe Park, North Yorkshire. This incredible tree, which stood as a testament to the beauty and resilience of nature, fell during a storm—a poignant reminder of the fragility that even the mightiest among us possess.

This ash tree’s unique story is now immortalised in our limited-edition collection. Its wood is characterised by an extraordinary grain, alive with swirling patterns and striking contrasts that reflect decades of growth and resilience. The result is a table that is not only functional but also a work of art—no two will ever be the same, each showcasing the raw beauty of nature.
