We are a family business, and we remain committed to building and delivering beautiful pieces to last a lifetime. Our manufacturing workshops are continuing to make our handcrafted furniture and we are scheduling deliveries to hundreds of customers each week.
Maker&Son recognises the importance of assessing and addressing the risks associated with Covid-19. We continue to follow guidance from the UK government, which sets out our safety approach and precautions.
Help us to keep everyone safe
Our Sussex Showroom is open with extra special measures in place to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.
Further, our Mobile Showroom visits continue and we undergo an enhanced daily cleaning regime outlined below.
In line with Government guidance, face coverings are required while visiting our Sussex Showroom and also to be worn throughout our Mobile Showroom visit. If you are unable to wear a face covering, or the wearing of a face-covering makes communication difficult, please notify our customer service.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: CAN I STILL PLACE AN ORDER?Yes, you may. Our Sales, Customer Service and Production teams continue to receive and process new orders. Currently our lead times to delivery are 8-12 weeks for standard furniture, and 12-14 weeks for bespoke orders. However, our very popular Maker&Son Now service on our website has furniture available in as little as 2 week.

Q: ARE YOUR SHOWROOMS OPEN?
Our Showroom in Sussex is open and we are doing everything we can to ensure your visit is safe, clean and comfortable.
If you can't visit us in-store, we are happy to schedule virtual visits, and can walk and talk with you (via FaceTime, Zoom, WhatsApp or other) around our Showroom, as well as Kemps House. We have the most loved pieces of our Song and Hero ranges available, and can show you our fabric and colour ranges. We can talk about your space and discuss measurements to help us create and send some floor plans as well.
Q: CAN I BOOK A VISIT WITH A MOBILE SHOWROOM?
Whilst our consultants will not be able to enter your home, we are still able to safely arrange a visit from one of our lovely mobile showrooms which allow us to bring you the experience of our furniture outside of your home or at a location in your neighbourhood that is convenient.
We continue to offer this service safely and responsibly, ensuring that all government guidelines are closely adhered to, and that our teams and customers are safe and socially distanced. We can simply open the van doors for you, and then leave you to sink into one of our armchairs and relax.
We are taking our precautions very seriously, and we are observing all social distancing and hygiene guidelines. All surfaces are thoroughly cleaned before and after every visit, extra attention is given where needed, and all loose covers are changed in between visits. Every van is fitted with hand sanitiser and our teams wear appropriate PPE, and will keep a distance at all times. Our consultants will discuss all guidelines with you ahead of a visit, and will keep the timing of a visit as brief as possible.
For so many, our home visits are essential to the planning of a new space. The ability to see colours, touch the fabrics and just sink into Maker&Son comfort really helps to understand why physical comfort is so very important to mental well-being.

Q: IF I PLACE AN ORDER, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE UNTIL DELIVERY?
We have carefully selected and pre-ordered some of our most popular pieces in favourite fabrics and colours that you can have in your home in as little as two weeks. Please check the Maker&Son Now tab on our website or contact us on email@example.com to see which pieces are available.
Q: IF I’VE ALREADY PLACE AN ORDER, HOW CAN I BE SURE IT WILL ARRIVE AS PLANNED?We are committed to delivering as planned, and will communicate at every stage of the production process, to keep you informed of progress. You are always welcome to reach out to us, via firstname.lastname@example.org, or directly with your Sales Consultant. We are happy to hear from you and we understand how important it is to make your home as comfy and cosy as possible right now. We will together with you to get your furniture into your home as soon as possible in these difficult times.
Q: WHAT IF I’M SELF-ISOLATING, HOW CAN I BE SURE MY FURNITURE WILL ARRIVE AS PLANNED?We continue to provide our ‘White Glove’ full service delivery, including set-up and assembly in the room of your choice, and removal of all packaging. However, if you’re self-isolating and cannot welcome us into your home then contact us, and we’ll be happy to make arrangements for storage, free of charge, until you’re accepting visitors again.
PRECAUTIONS WE ARE TAKING DURING THIS TIME
Our delivery teams put health and safety first. All teams will wash hands and/or use hand sanitiser before any visit or delivery. They carry sanitising wipes for use on all shared surfaces, as well as wearing clean gloves in customers’ homes. We are happy to discuss any concerns that you have, and adapt accordingly.
Our teams remain highly committed, and are working appropriately socially distanced, from home or in small groups in their family-owned workshops. We are all as connected as ever, and continue to work together to process, produce and deliver as planned. If and when our colleagues need to self-isolate, we stay in touch to keep everyone’s spirits up while we continue doing what we love.
