When we established Maker&Son, our team set out to not only to craft the comfiest sofas in the world but to create beautiful furniture from natural materials. We really wanted to enrich, enhance and make a positive difference to people’s lives through our furniture.
However, along our journey from developing the original designs to establishing our branding, we realised that the goals and thought processes behind a Maker&Son piece needed to go beyond its creation and become a part of everything we did. We are a small family team, and we view all of our customers as extended members of that family. So we set out to not only develop a business model that was completely different from that of our competitors but one that brings you in on the decisions and makes the process much more rewarding. After all, a home redecoration or shopping for a piece of furniture built to last a lifetime is an exciting time and should be treated as such. This is why we took a look at the traditional ways of selling luxury furniture and knew it could be done better. Which is why we decided that Maker&Son should come to you...
We understand that when you are investing in a luxury sofa it is a considered, long-lived purchase, which is why we want to give you a completely personalised experience. And, our mobile showroom does exactly that. A unique service provided by Maker&Son that allows us to bring the comfort of our sofas and armchairs to you; after all, the best way to test them is to sit back and see how you feel, without having to travel. For us, the idea of a typical luxury furniture showroom didn’t fit with our sustainable ethos. Showrooms are large and expensive to heat, maintain and staff. Instead, our mobile showroom (fitted out in reclaimed wooden panels to frame our much-loved chair) allows you to feel just how comfortable any of our sofas or chairs will be. At Maker&Son we take pride and enjoyment from working directly with you to adapt and ensure you get the maximum benefits of our designs and, bringing our furniture to your home, allows us to do this to the best of our ability.

Simply let us know a date and time that works best for you and a member of our small and knowledgeable team will pay you a visit. In the comfort of our homely, comfortable showroom we will take you through our designs and stay for as little, or as long as you need - until you are happy that we have answered all of your questions about us, our designs and our processes. Our cosy mobile showroom is designed to showcase the best of Maker&Son and we will curate what we bring at your request. Please keep in mind we can bring all of our fabric samples (and colours) along so you can feel the variety of textures we work with, offer advice on colour choices as well as assisting with the layout and planning of your space. We’re here to help, plus we thoroughly enjoy what we do — especially meeting our customers.

CORONAVIRUS: IMPACT TO PRODUCTION & DELIVERY
We are regretfully putting a temporary hold on production and deliveries of our furniture in the UK.
We are delighted to say we are still receiving orders, but would like to let you know that our lead time is likely to be between 8-12 weeks.
